Human Waste Sanitation
A necessity in an Emergency

Here are some different suggestions or ideas about how to do it.
You and your family need to decide what is best for you, on your property, in your home and in any stored solution.
Remember!
More people can die from the effects of lack of proper sanitation in an emergency than die in the actual emergency.

BE WISE!

As of Jan 2020, using
pool shock as a dry source for reconstituting chlorine bleach is
NO LONGER RECOMMENDED!
People who have stored or tried to use it have encountered multiple problems.
It can give off chlorine gas in a closed space and can be very dangerous. Use another kind of disinfectant.
Some of these videos show the use of pool shock. We are not recommending that.
The material below is chosen to give you a variety of views.

This is the handout that was given at the Jan 23, 2020 Relief Society Meeting about Sanitation.
